As I was browsing through my facebook homepage today, I came across the most amazing youtube video. It inspired this entire blog post, so I hop you like it!
The majority of my blog shares my experiences with these kids and music, and now I would like to show you. I hope you enjoy this video! If you pay very close attention at 0:27, you will notice that he is actually singing!
Cute isn't he? I love how music inspires kids to light up! Plus it makes for great entertainment for adults. Speaking of entertaining, here is a mom who got smart when she realized her son had a knack for imitating Britney Spears.
This little one absolutely captures my heart. He is singing this entirely a capella(without music), sings the musical interludes between verses and choruses, AND hits the key change. adorable. Enjoy!
Music is such a powerful thing! Granted, these are all meant for show and pure entertainment, but at the heart of it, these kids were inspired by music. It moved them, and inevitably will shape them as they get older.
Do you have any videos you would like to share?

This is awesome and so funny. I can see how music really is inspiring to these kids and at such a young age. I like how on the first video at 27 the kid was really singing that is talent. Music is also a way for people to relieve stress, relax, or just have fun. I mean who doesn't like music. This is a great post!!! Who knows one day one of those kids may be famous all because of their Love or inspiration for music!!! Also Check out my childhood obesity blog
ReplyDeleteThese videos were the cutest thing i have ever seen. Thank you for sharing them. I do agree Music obviously inspired these children and it will most likely take them places. To enjoy something and give joy to others while doing it is always a woderful thing.
ReplyDeleteGotta love cute kids! It's interesting to consider what kind of influence music has on kids that are that young. How much of what they're singing do they understand; how does it affect them?
ReplyDeleteIn Screwtape Letters CS Lewis contrasts heaven and hell, one being full of music and the other of noise. With so much recorded music now, I think we lose sight sometimes of how truly amazing music is. Thanks for reminding us!
That is exactly my question Lauren. I honestly don't know how much kids understand when they sing or hear a song. That is what is so fascinating to me! Thank you so much for sharing that part about CS Lewis. I have never heard of that before and thought it was really interesting! Is it in a book I'm guessing?
DeleteYeah, the book's called Screwtape Letters - sorry if I didn't clarify. It's written from the point of view of a demon; it's a pretty neat book. I think there's also a musical...
Deleteawesome! I will definitely look into it!
DeleteMusic makes the world go round and you are showing that. However, I did notice that you put "hop" instead of "hope" and it took away from how awesome this post is. How cute are these kids? Kids usually aren't that great but when they start adding a soundtrack to themselves they are so much better! :D
ReplyDeleteI find it amazing what kids actually know and what they can understand. I mean I say another video on the internet and there is like a 5 year old playing rolling stones song and singing right along with it. That's amazing a 5 year old is doing what music legends have done for what like 45 years now. I believe we underestimate what our children can understand and sometimes we hold them back from advancing.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever heard of Sophia Bush? She became famous for singing Super Bass by Nicky Minaj on youtube. Not only did she know all the words, but she sang it VERY well. She was actually invited to the Ellen show to perform the song, and had a very special surpirse waiting for her.... she sang it again, but this time with Nicky Minaj herself!
ReplyDeleteCheck out the video!
